This food pyramid explains what are the best things to eat on a paleo diet. At the core of this diet are healthy fats, meats and non-starchy vegetables. Right on top is dairy, although I must confess that I eat cheese on an obscene scale.

Gains, legumes and sugar should not be consumed at all, although Mark’s Daily Apple classifies legumes as “ok” in small quantities.

This is a huge contrast to the standard food pyramid published by most governments and the World Health Organisation. Here is the one used by Singapore’s Health Promotion Board:
